音乐厅简介(Chinese & English)

音乐厅隶属于中央音乐学院，座落于北京复兴门附近原清朝醇王府（光绪皇帝出生地）内，居喧哗都市中心而静谧典雅，是众多音乐家成长并走向世界的摇篮，是首都举行音乐会、高雅艺术活动和文化论坛的理想之地。
从这里，伴随成长的音符，我国著名音乐家周广仁、郭淑珍、林耀基、刘诗昆、殷承宗、薛伟、郎朗等众多音乐教育家、演奏（唱）家相继走向世界，成为国际乐坛上一颗颗耀眼的明星。
中国现代音乐史上诸多重要事件在这里发生，吴祖强、杜鸣心、谭盾、叶小纲、瞿小松、郭文景、陈怡等一批著名作曲家在这里留下了他们作品首演的动人乐章。

在这里世界著名音家 Yehudi Menuhin, Luciano Pavarotti, Isaac Stern, Vladimir Ashkenazy, Seiji Ozawa, Zubin Mehta, Yo-Yo Ma, Arie Vardi 等接踵举行了大师班，他们对音乐深入浅出、生动幽默的讲解教诲了一代又一代的音乐学子，令人铭刻于心。
每年，音乐厅担负着"创作-理论、表演、科研"为音乐艺术教育和发展理念的三大音乐节："北京现代音乐节"、"中央音乐学院音乐节"、"北京现代电子音乐节"等重要音乐会的演出，天下音乐界人士云集。

        2005年是中央音乐学院55华诞，海内外乐坛精英、校友将应邀献礼演出，音乐厅古建再度修缮，重妆新颜奏华彩，古典华贵与现代人文并举，生机勃发，更显大家风范，盛世欣逢，知音相惜，物华天宝，人气鼎盛。

CENTRAL CONSERVATORY OF MUSIC

The Concert Hall of the Central Conservatory of Music is close to the Fuxingmen Cloverleaf, which is a few minutes’ drive from the Tian’anmen Square. The hall was historically known as the residence of Prince Chun and the birthplace of Emperor Kuang-hsu of the Qing Dynasty. Today, it is a popular place to hold concerts and other cultural activities.

As a matter of fact, many Chinese musicians spread their fame from here. Among them are Zhou Guangren, Guo Shuzhen, Lin Yaoji, Liu Shikun, Yin Chengzong, Xue Wei, Yuan Chenye and Lang Lang. In addition, it is has become a favorite place where a number of active modern composers in China, including Wu Zuqiang, Du Mingxin, Tan Dun, Guo Wenjing, Chenyi, Xiaogang Ye, Chen Qigang and Qu Xiaosong, presented their maiden works.

Because of its unique style of traditional Chinese architecture and its affiliation with the CENTRAL CONSERVATORY OF MUSIC—the only nationwide key institute of higher learning among all schools of art in China , the Concert Hall also attracts many renowned musicians and orchestras from all over the world to come to present their master classes. The musicians include Lord Yehudi Menuhin, Maestro Luciano Pavarotti, Maestro Isaac Stern, Yo-Yo Ma, Maestro Vladimir Ashkenazy, Maestro Seiji Ozawa, Maestro Zubin Mehta and Maestro Carles Dutoit; and the orchestras include the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra, the Philadelphia Symphony Orchestra, the French National Symphony Orchestra and the Israel philharmonic Orchestra. The fantastic traditional Chinese architectural art and the excellent acoustics impressed them deeply.

It is often chosen by the foreign embassies in Beijing to hold concerts for their musicians visiting China.

After a recent facelift, the Concert Hall is more than ever ideal for musical entertainments and social activities.
